President’s Message – May 2011
We have a lot on the go as we are preparing for a Provincial Election this fall. Provincial Office has given Oak Bay Gordon Head the OK to hold our long awaited Nomination Meeting.
Time and location will all be forwarded as soon as we nail down a venue and our Candidate Selection Committee has done their work.
Speaking of which if you or you know someone that is interested in being a candidate for OBGH please let us know. As well we need folks for our Candidate Selection Committee and our Election Planning Committee if you are interested please contact us. We are also going to need a solid volunteer base as there will be many tasks ahead. You can volunteer to go door to door, work the phone bank, or take a behind the scene task such as data entry; if you are interested there is a task for you!!
It has been wonderful to see Denise Savoie and Edith Loring-Kuhanga signs adoring your front lawns, with hopes that you will take a sign when the Provincial Election is called.
A couple dates I would like you to put a side are June 12 for our Annual General Meeting we will be in Gordon Head at the Recreation Center Bert Richman Pavilion 2 to 4, if you interested in joining the Executive that would be the time. As well on July 10 please join the Executive and myself at OBGH Presidents Open House 3236 Carman Street between 2 to 5 rain or shine and I know it will shine.
